El Conductor mixes 4AM

I miss the days when rap was controversial because it spoke the truth.

Rappers used to risk jail time over free speech, people focused their frustration and anger into Frankenstein-esque masterpieces made from old records and real talk. Now the biggest controversy in rap is that Kanye replaced his bottom teeth with diamonds.

His album has energy, but it's really just the Kanye show. The Kanye show is in 3D now and has an amazing budget but, well, is that enough anymore? C'mon people, this is supposed to be Hip-Hop, it's supposed to mean something. Oh, and apparently his cd cover is offensive:

No, not that one!

There it is, in all of it's offensive glory. It's silly. People need to get a life if this is a major crisis WALLMART! Here's the thing, the record is fun and big and exciting and sounds good. That's cool, but, here's someone that supposedly has a lot to say and seriously, if you look at his work as a whole, it really hasn't said nearly as much as he gets credit for. I don't trust any rapper that combines religion, righteous lyrics and groupie stories in the same verse. They can entertain me at times, but it's fake, to come full circle, it's Milli Vanilli all over again, just off key and auto tuned. Ever since 2pac every rapper wants to be a combination of Jesus and Scarface, while both men existed in some form or another, the images we have of them are cartoons, not reality, how can anyone claim to be real when their whole identity is based on fictional characterizations? But then again who said Kanye claims all of these things? I've never met the dude, I'm only going on what the media has told me.

Due to today's ever growing and constantly refined popular culture...

...the alloted 15 minutes of fame we were all promised has been shaved down to a much more time efficient 1 minute and 22 seconds (give or take 8 seconds).

Everybody has their own TV show now (including me)>/

By the way...

WHY ARE THERE 2 MILLION HALF ASSED VERSION OF THIS VERSE ON YOU-TUBE!? (and why is only one of them a drag queen?)

Jungle Brothers - JB's Comin Through - Spittin Wicked Randomness

Maybe someday aliens will be able to decipher this song, it's been 17 years since I first heard it, I still don't quite get it, but it rulez.

You should download these because they're really good.

Origins of the Moonwalk

‎"Well daddy dear don't you know that things go in cycles, way that Bobby Brown is just ampin' like Michael..." Q-Tip.

Dude, Hammer, Really? Is it really still that cool to see an eagle attack a goat?

Okay Hammer, I'm still not over you being EVERYWHERE in 1992 (all I wanted was a sanctuary where I didn't have to hear U Can't Touch This) but son, c'mon, an eagle attacking a goat? Why is that cool? Eagles are actually deplorable birds, Ben Franklin wanted our national bird to be a turkey, he felt turkeys had more integrity. The old symbols are here to control us, eagles suck.

"Hammer... shut the fuc..." - Prime Minister Pete Nice (1989)

Ummm... thanks MC Hammer?

At least he stopped telling me that I can't touch things.

I need to get both of the songs featured in these clips so that I may do edits.

If I could've been anyone in the 80's it would probably be Steve Guttenberg.

Only because he got to hang out with Michael Winslow.

Plus...

*he was in this movie*

Come to think about it, between the street gang scenes in Police Academy 2...
(I always felt like Bobcat looked like Robert Smith in this movie)>D

...and the strong resemblance to Keifer Sutherland's vampire leader...

...to Lobo in "Don't Tell Her It's Me..."

I'm sensing a mutual admiration between the Police Academy and Lost Boys camps.

One of my earliest sheroes.

The Chia_Conspiracy runs deep.

This is Pandora's Box, seriously. I don't know if I should be horrified or thrilled.

Be Near Me (Video Remix)

Around the :08 mark you can clearly hear someone yelling:

"NO WAY! THAT'S MY FAVORITE SONG! AWWW YEEEAAAHHHH!"

It sounds like an adult.

Can - Vitamin C [U.N.K.L.E mix]

damn

Irony.

Car drives into crowd of people during World Series celebration, S.F. CA...

SF. I love you and I love to see the people happy en mass. However, victory does not mean: go destroy the city I love. This is way too Alabama lynching / Watts riots / Lord Of The Flies for my taste.

I know, I know... I hate it when my car breaks down too.

Chill homie, we can call AAA and go chill out at Denny's for a while. Grand Slam thank you ma'am?
